ENGAGE – Empowering Church Leadership

Developing One Team for God’s Glory!
February 15-17, 2018

Pastors, worship team members, and church leaders from all churches & denominations are encouraged to register!

One of the major components of a healthy life-giving church are spiritual leaders operating as one team.    Because the pastor and    worship team connection is so vital, we are combining the Leadership Forum Conference with Continuous Worship Conference to provide ENGAGE!

  • ENGAGE will help pastors and worship team members realize the solution to having team unity is understanding and living out their identity in Christ.
  • ENGAGE will help pastors and worship team members learn the value in communicating and connecting with one another on a weekly basis.
  • ENGAGE will provide creative examples of various forms of worship elements that can be incorporated into the worship gathering.
  • ENGAGE will provide outstanding workshops covering various topics: Pastor/Worship Leader Relationships, Working with Different Personalities, Worship Planning, Leading People through Change, Recruiting and Building Teams, and Volunteering While Working a Full-Time Job.

While designed specifically for pastors and worship team members, ENGAGE will benefit leaders involved in any aspect of ministry in the church. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Conference Speakers

Brady Cone is the founder of Calibrate Ministries, which seeks to equip the church to disciple individuals who are affected by sexuality issues.  Having struggled with sexuality issues from a young age, and experiencing redeeming grace found in Christ, Brady has a heart to see Christians build bridges with the LGBT community, walk along side people in the church who are struggling, and equip them to make disciples in a culture that is so broken in the area of sexuality and relationships. Brady is a graduate of Chadron State College with Bachelor of Science degrees in Human Biology and Psychology, and a graduate of Shepherds Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies.  www.calibrateministries.com

Scott Mathis is the President of the Berean Fellowship of Churches. Before that, he pastored Mitchell Berean Church in Mitchell, NE for 19 years and SONrise Church in Torrington, WY for 5 years. Scott’s passion is that the Berean Fellowship would see people saved, disciples made, and new churches planted!  He and his wife Diane live in North Platte, NE.  They have two children and three grandchildren.  www.weareberean.org

Justin Halbgewachs is the father of 3 school aged children and currently serves as an elder and worship leader at Cornerstone Berean Church.  Justin is also the founder and owner of Kearney Moving/Atlas Van Lines a nationwide moving company. For 20 years Justin was married to his late wife Julie who died of breast cancer in December of 2016.  Throughout their marriage they faithfully served their local church with a strong passion to see people grow in their relationship with Christ.  Recently Justin and his kids are facing a new challenge.  Only 10 months after his wife’s death Justin was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and has recently undergone major brain surgery and radiation.   Justin and his children live in Kearney, NE where he continues to receive regular treatments for his cancer.  Throughout his journey Justin has grown in his love for Jesus and is committed to encouraging people with the hope of Jesus Christ.
