Multimedia & AV Tech (Coordinator Role)

MARANATHA’S PURPOSE: To glorify God by introducing people to Jesus as Savior, training them in Christian living, and sending them out to represent Christ to the world.

JOB PURPOSE: To serve thousands of campers and guests in a Christ-centered environment we create called Maranatha Camp & Retreat Center. As a result, many will hear God speak and make decisions about salvation, discipleship and Christian service. The multimedia and AV Tech is responsible for all multimedia related projects and tasks, and to oversee all AV needs for guest groups and Maranatha programs.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Accountable to the Program Director and Executive Director; and supervisor to Summer Staff assigned to the Multimedia and AV Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grow in a personal walk with Jesus Christ and live a life that reflects Christ like values.
  • Maintain physical, social, and mental health at a level that will not hinder work.
  • Create attractive videos that promote and enhance the ministries of Maranatha.
  • Completed Multimedia and AV projects on a scheduled basis.

Operations Manager

MARANATHA’S PURPOSE: To glorify God by introducing people to Jesus as Savior, training them in Christian living, and sending them out to represent Christ to the world.

JOB PURPOSE: To serve thousands of campers and guests in a Christ-centered environment we create called Maranatha Camp and Retreat Center. As a result, many will hear God speak and make decisions about salvation, discipleship and Christian service. The Operations Manager will Plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the conference center, group bookings and guests needs. Maintain and develop long standing relationships with Guest Group Leaders and individual program attendees.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the Executive Director. Supervises the Accommodations Manager, Guest Specialist, Conference Center Managers and Attendants, Food Service Manager, Recreation Supervisor, and other staff assigned by Executive Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as one of the hosts for guest groups, individual registrants, and community events.
  • Coordinate necessary guest information with Food Service Manager, Properties Manager, Technical Services, Dining Hall Supervisor and Attendants, Accommodations Manager, Summer Staff Supervisor, and other staff assigned by Executive Director
  • Works with the Guest Specialist Supervisor to oversee computer reservation system and have general working knowledge of individual reservation procedures.
  • Assure readiness of facilities prior to arrival of guests through supervision on the Accommodations Manager and Dining Hall Supervisor.
  • Work with the CFO/Business Manager to accurately track all financial transactions for meals and lodging, including Accounts Receivable.
  • Work with CFO/Business Manager to accurately track Camp insurance dealings.
  • Oversee operation of the Dining Room and Conference Center through the supervision of the Dining Room Supervisor.
  • Oversee the schedule of the use of the Maranatha Conference Center and grounds through the supervision of the Guest Specialist Supervisor.
  • Serve as a “Manager on Duty”, supervise appropriate employees and serve as a backup for group and individual reservations and  payments.
  • Serve as a backup by answer the phones and tending to the needs of the guests.

Assistant Bookkeeper

JOB PURPOSE: To serve the campers in this positive environment we create called Maranatha Camp. Here many will hear God speak and make decisions about salvation, discipleship and Christian service. Specifically responsible for financial record keeping, and help in whatever way possible.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Executive Director of Camping, and Chief Financial Officer

RESPONSIBILITY

Accounts Payable

  • Process bills, invoices and statements. Enter on bills list spreadsheet
  • Keep the checkbook current
  • Pay weekly bills when due and approved
  • Manage Purchase Request Forms
  • Process forms for tax exempt status
  • Bank reconcilliation

Accounts Receivable

  • Collect Auxiliary charges
  • Enter on Shelby
  • Process and mail statments

Reports

  • Update Project Savings
  • Track income and expenses
  • Update appropriate spreadsheets in project notebooks
  • Update spreadsheets: Utilities, specific projects, staff housing allowance, etc
  • Quarterly Vehicle Usage
