Multimedia & AV Tech (Coordinator Role)

MARANATHA’S PURPOSE: To glorify God by introducing people to Jesus as Savior, training them in Christian living, and sending them out to represent Christ to the world.

JOB PURPOSE: To serve thousands of campers and guests in a Christ-centered environment we create called Maranatha Camp & Retreat Center. As a result, many will hear God speak and make decisions about salvation, discipleship and Christian service. The multimedia and AV Tech is responsible for all multimedia related projects and tasks, and to oversee all AV needs for guest groups and Maranatha programs.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Accountable to the Program Director and Executive Director; and supervisor to Summer Staff assigned to the Multimedia and AV Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grow in a personal walk with Jesus Christ and live a life that reflects Christ like values.
  • Maintain physical, social, and mental health at a level that will not hinder work.
  • Create attractive videos that promote and enhance the ministries of Maranatha.
  • Completed Multimedia and AV projects on a scheduled basis.
  • There can be some pressure to meet deadlines, when extra hours may be required.

  • Operate, Maintain and Update website.
  • Developing and using skills and expertise in appropriate design packages such as Photoshop, In Design and After Effects.

Full time staff benefits include: Housing, all utilities, meals in the dinning hall when serving, monthly salary, Life Insurance, matching Retirement fund, and deputized to raise personal support income to cover the remainder of approved budget.

 

Kitchen Manager

MARANATHA’S PURPOSE​: To glorify God by introducing people to Jesus as Savior, training them in
Christian living, and sending them out to represent Christ to the world.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP​: Management of any staff or volunteers that will serve in the kitchen
or dining hall. Reports to the Executive Director and Operations Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

SUMMER CAMPING SEASON RESPONSIBILITIES:
During the summer camping season the Kitchen Manager plays more of a managerial role.

● Have weekly meetings with the Executive Director.
● Keep the kitchen and summer staff organized for efficient production of meals.
● Plan menus, keep an accurate inventory, and prepare food orders.
● Supervise all kitchen and dining hall staff and volunteers.
● Evaluate and create procedures for efficient management of the kitchen and dining hall.
● Maintain a current knowledge of all Dept. of Health regulations and ensure compliance.
● Supervise the production of all meals. Help cook as necessary.
● Work to create and maintain an environment that encourages spiritual growth for all kitchen and
dining hall workers.
● Maintain a high level of cleanliness for the kitchen and dining hall facilities.
● Ensure excellent food service for guests with food allergies and special diets.

NON SUMMER SEASON RESPONSIBILITIES:
During the non-summer months the Kitchen Manager is responsible for the actual production of the
meals.

● Have weekly meetings with the Executive Director.
● Produce all meals for MBC guests. If help is needed coordinate with other staff or volunteers.
● Plan menus, keep an accurate inventory, and prepare food orders.
● Oversee all plans and preparation for banquet services. I.e. linens, table setting, etc
● Supervise all kitchen and dining hall staff and volunteers.
● Evaluate and create procedures for efficient management of the kitchen and dining hall.
● Maintain a current knowledge of all Dept. of Health regulations and ensure compliance.
● Work to create and maintain an environment that encourages spiritual growth for all kitchen and
dining hall workers.
● Maintain a high level of cleanliness for the kitchen and dining hall facilities.
● Ensure excellent food service for guests with food allergies and special diets.

QUALIFICATIONS​:

● Have experience working as a kitchen manager with multiple staff members/team leaders under your
supervision.
● Passion and ability to cook from scratch for large numbers of people, ranging in group size from 7-700
● A heart for blessing people through exceptional food service.
● Have experience in full-course meal preparation and presentation, including the specialization of adult and
family clientele.
● Understanding of different dietary needs and restriction in our culture today.
● Ability to produce cafeteria and banquet style meals.
● Have experience in operating commercial kitchen equipment.
● Must be willing to learn new techniques and leadership skills.
● Have the ability to lead and work with young people and volunteers.
● Able to lead by example Christ-like attitudes, keep prayer part of the work process
and a servants heart to our guests and staff.
● Will need a working knowledge of computer programs, i.e. Excel, Google Docs.

Benefits:​ For the purpose of the agreement, the following benefits are restated: Housing, Utilities, Meals in
the Dining Hall when serving, Monthly salary, and Life Insurance.

Ministry Support Raising:​ All full time staff are required to raise a portion of their monthly/annual salary to
cover the remainder of the approved budget amount, and support and training for raising Personal Support
Income.
