Maintenance Shop Fire

We are so thankful to serve a mighty and faithful God who sees all and knows all! We saw His protection and providence at 2am on the night of December 21, 2018 when a fire broke out in our shop. We were so blessed in catching it early and having the help of the Maxwell, Brady, & North Platte Fire Departments to minimize damage. We are also so thankful that no one was in the building or injured during the fire.

This fire in our wood shop reminds us of the passage of Scripture in Daniel 3 where three men are facing a fire themselves and yet, stand firm in their faith in God. “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” Just like the Lord rescues these men in a miraculous fashion, we look to Him to rescue and redeem us in the same way. God is good! All the time!

We appreciate your prayers as we move through the process of assessing the damage and impact. If the Lord prompts you to give toward this project, please use the donate button on the right side of this page, or text any dollar amount to 308-365-1856. Thank you for your care and concern for the ministry, people, and property of Maranatha Camp & Retreat Center!
