Kris Cheek is Maranatha’s Executive Director! Kris has a background in youth ministry and sports evangelism as well as church planting and administration. According to Facebook, he enjoys long walks on the beach and selfies with his wife Natalie.

Natalie Cheek

Natalie is an associate director alongside her husband, Kris. Homeschooling their three kiddos, Taylor (12), Jocelyn (10), and Kristyn (8) is a passion of hers. Wherever the Cheeks have lived they have always found adventure. They are looking forward to many adventures as part of the Maranatha team.

Bruce Stucky

Bruce is director of properties, which includes new construction, remodeling and oversight of all Camp maintenance, including the recruitment of volunteers. Bruce, who joined our staff in 1982, also is involved in the ministry of First Baptist Church in Maxwell. Bruce and his wife, Rachel, have one grown child: Esther.

Alicia Larson

Born and raised in Iliff, Colorado, Alicia rededicated her life to Christ at Maranatha during an Awana camp. She attended Northeastern Junior College where she graduated with an AA in Accounting. Alicia then transferred to the University of Northern Colorado where she graduated with a BA in Finance. In January 2011, God led her to join our full time staff.

Dave Loos

Dave has experience being a youth leader for Lincoln Berean Church and has worked 2 years as a worship and youth pastor. He enjoyed working at Chick-Fil-A as a team leader. Some things he enjoys are playing music, board games, and spending quality time with people.

Carly Loos

Carly works with summer staff and guest groups alongside her husband Dave. She has been a part of MBC summer staff for 10 summers, has worked with youth groups, and has had several hospitality roles. She loves music, running, board games, and spending time with friends and family.

David Jones

Known to many as “Bubba,” David is a longtime Maranatha staffer, having joined the fulltime staff in 1986. He is Maranatha’s maintenance manager, and does most of our plumbing and locksmith work. A native of Broken Bow, Neb., David is involved in the North Platte Berean Church and enjoys archery.

Mark Swesey

Mark is the grounds manager at Maranatha, overseeing mowing and sprinklers, plus helping with a wide variety of maintenance projects. Mark is involved with the ministry of First Baptist Church in Maxwell and enjoys target shooting as a hobby.

Micah Anderson

Micah is a Californian native and loves camp ministry! He has served in many different capacities and at multiple camps. His adventures in camping ministry has taken him from mountain peaks to desert islands and everywhere in between. He is excited to be living in Nebraska and doesn’t mind the cold winters.

Bob Teters

Affectionately known by his students as “Bobert”, Bob loves going on fishing trips with his wife Sara. He also loves talking about his three kids and many grandchildren. Most importantly, Bob LOVES donuts. Bob’s experience as an administrative pastor and school teacher has proved invaluable to Maranatha’s School of Ministry program. In his time at Maranatha, he has served in a variety of roles including Guest Experience Manager and Camp Gardener.

Kristen Price

Kristen grew up as an Air Force kid, so deciding where she is officially from is hard! Living in Japan, Connecticut, Texas, Italy and Cheyenne Wyoming. Cheyenne became her home as this is where she graduated high school and started to build her life! She spent 7 years working for Child Evangelism Fellowship, then 5 years at Cheyenne Berean youth group with the middle school girls, as well as being involved in other activities at her church. She loves the great outdoors and spending time and connecting with people!

George Cheek

The second general director in the Camp’s history, George has been a Maranatha staff member since 1973.  Since 2005 he has been executive director of the Maranatha Ministries Foundation. He and his wife, Jan, have two grown children: Kris and Tara.

Dewey Davis

Dewey, our Garden & Beautification Manager, oversees the progress of Maranatha Gardens as well as the out-bringing of Maranatha’s natural beauty. On a side note, he enjoys anything related to the great creation that is the outdoors! Originally from Memphis NE, Dewey is a young man with a great desire to see more people come to Christ in any way possible!

JoAnn Beetem

Jo Ann keeps records of all our events and guests. She not only manages our database, she is a database of information. If you have a question regarding something or someone associated with Maranatha Bible Camp in the last 35 years, JoAnn has answers!  Jo Ann joined our fulltime staff in 1982, and also is involved in the North Platte Berean Church, where she teaches Sunday School.

Cameron Schlumpf

A creative and socially analytic mind, Cameron is highly inventive and one need not look too close to see the gears turning – provided they are not smoking. Native to Colorado and Graduate of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, he enjoys writing poetry, shotgunning, and deep relationships. It’s a cold day when you can get a movie quote past him. In general think Don Quixote, but younger and slightly… out there, but in the best way.
