Kris Cheek is Maranatha’s Executive Director! Kris has a background in youth ministry and sports evangelism as well as church planting and administration. According to Facebook, he enjoys long walks on the beach and selfies with his wife Natalie.
Natalie is an associate director alongside her husband, Kris. Homeschooling their three kiddos, Taylor, Jocelyn, and Kristyn is a passion of hers. Wherever the Cheeks have lived they have always found adventure. They are looking forward to many adventures as part of the Maranatha team.
Bruce is director of properties, which includes new construction, remodeling and oversight of all Camp maintenance, including the recruitment of volunteers. Bruce, who joined our staff in 1982, also is involved in the ministry of First Baptist Church in Maxwell. Bruce and his wife, Rachel, have one grown child: Esther.
Jared’s background includes construction, project management, and most recently, the corporate healthcare world of sleep medicine. As the Operations Director, Jared desires to see camp thrive in all areas of facilities, properties, and fiscal management. Jared is married to Courtney and they have two young kids (KK & Lincoln) who love being full-time campers!
Courtney comes to camp having served as the Maranatha kid camps coordinator the past several years while working in children’s ministry. Her background in education and ministry give her a unique perspective in how to best serve our programs, groups, and guests here as the Program Director. A self-proclaimed Jesus Freak, she is pumped to see people of all ages experience the gospel in this place. Courtney is married to Jared and they have two young kids (KK & Lincoln) who love being full-time campers!
Donna works in the office part time as an assistant bookkeeper. She has three kids and lives in North Platte. She loves to go on many vacation trips to visit family.
Born and raised in Iliff, Colorado, Alicia rededicated her life to Christ at Maranatha during an Awana camp. She attended Northeastern Junior College where she graduated with an AA in Accounting. Alicia then transferred to the University of Northern Colorado where she graduated with a BA in Finance. In January 2011, God led her to join our full time staff.
Known to many as “Bubba,” David is a longtime Maranatha staffer, having joined the fulltime staff in 1986. He is Maranatha’s maintenance manager, and does most of our plumbing and locksmith work. A native of Broken Bow, Neb., David is involved in the North Platte Berean Church and enjoys archery.
Mark is the grounds manager at Maranatha, overseeing mowing and sprinklers, plus helping with a wide variety of maintenance projects. Mark is involved with the ministry of First Baptist Church in Maxwell and enjoys target shooting as a hobby.
Micah is a Californian native and loves camp ministry! He has served in many different capacities and at multiple camps. His adventures in camping ministry has taken him from mountain peaks to desert islands and everywhere in between. He is excited to be living in Nebraska and doesn’t mind the cold winters.
Savannah grew up in Inola, Oklahoma! Savannah lived on a family ranch of about 350+ acres and had every animal you can imagine. Savannah did a lot of barrel racing events and also dabbled in English Ridding. She is pursuing her bachelors in Business Administration with a minor in Nonprofit Management. Savannah is the Retail Supervisor and she looks forward to serving you with a smile in the Coffee Shop, Craft Shop, Sweet Shop and Snack Bar!
Clay grew up in a little town called Oley, PA which is about an hour away from Philadelphia. Clay loves working hard and getting the job done just as much as he loves cow sledding. (if you aren’t sure what that is, ask him next time you see him!). Clay loves working alongside the maintenance crew out here, loves Maranatha and the mission!
Kristen grew up as an Air Force kid, so deciding where she is officially from is hard! Living in Japan, Connecticut, Texas, Italy and Cheyenne Wyoming. Cheyenne became her home as this is where she graduated high school and started to build her life! She spent 7 years working for Child Evangelism Fellowship, then 5 years at Cheyenne Berean youth group with the middle school girls, as well as being involved in other activities at her church. She loves the great outdoors and spending time and connecting with people!
Jo Ann keeps records of all our events and guests. She not only manages our database, she is a database of information. If you have a question regarding something or someone associated with Maranatha Bible Camp in the last 35 years, JoAnn has answers! Jo Ann joined our fulltime staff in 1982, and also is involved in the North Platte Berean Church, where she teaches Sunday School.
Will Powers is a Nebraska native, coming from a small town just outside of Lincoln. Will has seen a broad view of multiple ministries, having spent nine months traveling through three different countries on three different continents as a missionary, Serving as an intern for a year at a Southern Baptist Mega Church in Arkansas, and completing a year of Associate Staff here at Maranatha. He is currently studying to get a degree in History.

The second general director in the Camp’s history, George has been a Maranatha staff member since 1973. Since 2005 he has been executive director of the Maranatha Ministries Foundation. He and his wife, Jan, have two grown children: Kris and Tara.
