“This retreat is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and rediscover the joy of walking through life together — as partners, friends, and followers of Christ.”
Theme: New Year – New Vision
As 2026 begins, let’s carve out time to intentionally quiet down and hear God speak life and hope into our marriages. Over the weekend, we’ll delight in the Word and utilize tools to facilitate conversations to reflect on our marriage health. Not simply an information dump, there will be plenty of time for each couple to talk, laugh (and maybe cry), and play. We’ll take stock of where we’ve been and dream about where we’d love to go together. It’s a new year and we’re praying we will all receive refreshing, new vision for God’s design and desire for our relationship with our spouse.

Speakers: John and Jessica Stone
John and Jessica aren’t marriage experts, but by the grace of God have managed to stay married for 30 years. They’ve learned a few things along the way and believe that following Jesus is the only hope for lasting love. Along the way, they’ve raised 3 adult sons and are currently raising their 9.5 (don’t forget the half!) year old daughter.
John is just starting his 15th year as the Lead Pastor of North Platte Berean Church, and Jessica, while unpaid, serves the community of North Platte in innumerable ways.
John and Jessica enjoyed playing pickleball until John hurt his wrist trying to return one of Jessica’s shots. They still enjoy road trips together, playing board games with their daughter, and watching Husker volleyball domination (really all Husker sports… as long as they’re winning).
